This blog post is different than the others that I have posted before; this post isn't my experience. I love this story because it made me reflect on how often in my life failure has been the neighbor to success! I strongly believe that we can learn great lessons through other's experiences. Her story inspired me and I hope it does something for you as well. Thank you Deja for allowing me to share your story.

Learning Discipline
Before we begin this, let me say that I am not a dietician, nutritionist, health specialist, and anything else that specializes in food, diet, nutrition, etc. I am just a young man actively involved in my health.
Something I had planned before graduating was changing my diet. I wanted to become a vegetarian, but I didn’t precisely know-how. The transition was a deeply rooted problem. Ever since I could remember, a meal wasn’t a meal unless there was meat involved.

Why do women make up less than 25% of Congress, less than 5% of fortune 500 CEOs, and makeup 63% of minimum wage workers in America? Why?

Supporting my Fears
The beginning of my post-graduate journey began, well, the night before my long anticipated graduation. My family had arrived for the Multicultural Celebratory and wanted to witness all of the recognition that I would receive. After the celebratory, we decided to go out to eat as a family to further celebrate. In between the celebration and dinner, I had to stop at home to meet a deadline. This deadline was a submission of the application for a graduate program at The University of Tennessee.
